Restrooms
This post is some helpful information for those people who are planning on visiting Ukraine. :) In most places we were at in Ukraine, there were not pictures to show the difference between Men and Women's restrooms, instead they had letters. Of course, these letters were not in the English alphabet - they were in the Cyrillic alphabet. (Cyrillic is the alphabet of Russian and Ukrainian.) So future reference for those of you visiting Ukraine or Russia, or any other Russian speaking area - M is the sign for the Men's Restroom, and ж is the sign for the Women's restroom. Also if you need to use a restroom, and aren't sure where to find one, and you don't have translator with you, you can ask - twa-let?? Whoever you ask will probably know what you are talking about, even though that isn't the proper way to ask in Russian. If the person starts rattling off in Russian and you have no idea what they are saying, just say nee-et pa-roos-kee - no Russian. :)
