On Saturday morning we went to to the new mother's dorm. When girls at the Teen Dorm get pregnant, they are immediately kicked out, and this dorm was started for the girls once they have their babies, if they decide to keep them. Some of the dad's also live here. We did sort of a service for the parents, then we had clothes for them to go though and choose which ones they wanted. Then we walked through the rooms and prayed over the moms, dads, and kids. The youngest child there right now is 2. One of their biggest needs right is bigger size diapers and pull-ups. After lunch had the rest of the afternoon off to pack and get ready to leave. Then after supper, we went to the train station, and got on our overnight train. We were split up into two different cars. And the other car, not the one I was in, just got back from Russia, and the air conditioning was broken. :( It doesn't sound like that was very pleasant.

| Our fridge at the apartment - notice the top shelf?? It's stuffed full of chocolate, Brooke's chocolate. The poor lady at the store. She didn't speak English so we were pointing out what we wanted, such as all of Brooke's chocolate, and saying da (yes) and nyet (no) trying to get the message across what we wanted. It was actually quite funny. :) |

| Sorry this is a bad picture, but I had to take a picture of it. It's kind of hard to see, but the sign on the top is a no smoking sign!! That's is the only one I saw while in Ukraine, besides on the plane! Ukraine has a long way to go to get to where America is at with their no smoking signs. If I could change anything the country, that is the one thing I would change about Ukraine, all the people smoking everywhere! |
