This will be my 10th trip to Ukraine, and every outreach has been different. I expect even bigger differences for this trip because we are working with Max's ministry to orphans and handicapped s, rather than in the churches. In the past, I have mostly preached, taught, and ministered in prayer counsel to many individuals. We have always been taken care of very well when we've been in Ukraine, as strated in the picture of me with our friend and cook Natasha. The food is not only flavorful, but also beautiful and presented in amazing ways. I have had the privilege to minister at several churches in Krivoy Rog. The largest church, called "the Mother Church" is pastored by Gregory Sukhina and has between 800 and 900 people in attendance on any Sunday. We have also been in village churches of fewer than 20 people and city churches, ranging in size from 50 to 200. The people are always receptive to our ministry and greet us like old friends whenever we return. My personal favorite ministry in the past has been to the rehabilitation groups or to the mission school. Many of the people in either of those schools are wounded with troubled pasts. It is a beautiful thing to see the Lord work in their hearts and emotions and restore what has been stolen from them. Many of them are fatherless, and the Heavenly Father gently ministers life to them as them come to know Him more fully. It is always a delight to see what the Lord does as we step out to do the impossible in Jesus' name.
