A final note! :)

Yes, I know this blog is poorly neglected, and I never really finished posting, but it's not 2010 anymore! :)

Philippians 2 – Imitating Christ’s Humility

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by likeminded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition of vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death, even on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God Father.

God brought me to this passage again this morning. It is one of my favorite passages, these are the verses that I try and live by. This is how I want to be! I want to be more humble, and be able to humble myself my easily. I don't want to do anything out of selfish ambition of vain conceit. I want to consider others better than myself. I want to be like the perfect role model – Jesus. I know I won't be able to do on my own strength, but I need to rely on God, and let him transform my life so I am like him, to be humble.
